Sue Rees’ team continued their strong second round form on Thursday night in the ladies tennis competition with a hard fought 34-30 win against Karen Correy’s team.
Nancy Little’s team continued to build on their lead against Lorace Hull’s team throughout the night to finish with a 39-25 win.
Kerrie Sharman’s team made a positive move towards a semifinal position overcoming Mavis Haselwood’s team 36-28.
Tonight’s bye team is Mavis Haselwood’s team.
In the men’s competition a strong start from Brett Leech’s team proved too much for Aaron Kneipp’s team to catch as the night ended at 40-24.
Matthew Miller’s team returned to winning form beating John Page’s team 35-29.
Peter Cole and Robert Miller’s teams could not be separated at the conclusion of the night ending in a 32 all draw.
The bye team for Tuesday night is Aaron Kneipp’s team.
The Monday night ladies took to the court for their final round of play but due to the rain were unable to get any results. After the rounds Anna McCormick’s team finished in first place with 18points, Kathy Symons’ team second with 12points and Marg Cooper and Rebecca Brown’s team equal third on 8points. The four teams will now contest the semifinals on Monday night.

The annual club championships will take place on May 24 and 25 and Sunday June 1.
