Glen’s OzTag ladies were beaten 9 - 8 by Uralla in an exciting match.
Uralla’s Tara Walsh got the opening try after just two minutes and Glen only ever hit the front once in a match that see-sawed from end to end with some brilliant running from both sides. A draw probably would have been a fair result but Uralla got the winning try late in the match.
This time there was insufficient time for Glen to equal the scores as they did no less than six times during the game.
Glen led 3 -2 after tries to Kirsty Grange, Megan Fuller and Fiona Williamson but Uralla scored the next three tries to race ahead 5 - 3. Then Courtney Grange got into stride with two long range tries to level up just before half time.
The teams traded tries during the second half but Glen could not overhaul the Tigers. Breanna Grange, Amanda Newberry and Courtney Grange all scored for Glen but the Amy Barraclough’s late try got the visitors home.
The Grange sisters all played strongly as did Amanda Newberry and Megan Fuller.
