The Annual General Meeting is Sunday morning at 10.30am in the club-house, no social bowls will be played during this time.
This will be followed by the election of office-bearers for the 2008/2009 season.
At mid-day a free barbecue sausage sizzle will be provided; at 1.00 pm a Turnabout Triples event will be conducted for the Kevin and Marell Fakes shield, nominations close on Saturday afternoon.
This will be followed at 4.30pm by the annual presentation of trophies to club champions and runners-up for men and mixed events for the 2008 season.
A Gold Leaves challenge match between John Bird and Mick Edwards who played Andrew Whyte and Ian Pringle on Saturday afternoon resulted in a lop-sided event with Whyte and Pringle taking fifteen of the twenty-one ends to record a 29-11 result over their opponents.
Members are also reminded that a fun day of bowls has been set down for Sunday August 17 as a fundraiser for the Westpac helicopter. Peter Willott will be organizing the day with the assistance of the committee. Non-bowlers are most welcome to come along - especially former school-mates of Matt Willott. The bowls day is to be called The Wilma Charity Bowls Day.
