Dawes wins stableford

On Saturday the men played a stableford for the Vets Shootout Trophy.

The winner on a countback with 42 points was Phil Dawes. Nearest the pins were won by R Davies 4th and 7th, L Wise 12th and 14th with R Gallagher winning the pro pin on the 17th. Greg Mclaren won the putting on a countback with 28 and also had an eagle on the 13th.

Sunday was a stroke event for Don Cameron’s trophy which was won by Phil Correy with a 68 nett. Nearest the pins went to Sean Wilson 4th, P Timbs 12th, B. Kerr 14th, C McLaren 17th and K Kempton winning the pro pin on the 7th.

This Saturday is a medley stableford for Noel Lane’s Trophy. Also on Saturday the Top Gun Play off will be run with players to be at the club by 9.30am for a 10.00am tee off. Starters for the top gun are: D Dunn, B Kerr, P Correy, Brett Miller, T Hodder, D Williams, N Lane, C Dawson, J Hutton, C McLaren, A Cook, N Gilby, T Meyer, D Cameron, G Cameron, B Dabinett, B Norris, B Gallagher and P Kilner. Reserves are C Davies and R Rees. If anyone is unable to play please contact Tony Snow at the Golf Club by Friday 4.00pm on 67321555.

Sunday is the 27 Hole 4BBB Open Stroke with a time sheet operating for this event so ring to place a time.

Wednesday will be a Par event for a Club Trophy.

16/12/2008 | So we now have desperate parents attempting to bribe teachers to get their children into a selective high school. What a sad indictment of our education policies, the holy grail of which is parental choice.
